When you activate alerts for a monitor which it is disabled for default (in this example “Last Run Status” in the class SQL Agent job)s beware that there can be a difference between the default state and alert trigger.
The default state is set to Warning, but the alert will trigger on Critical.
In the override for activating also change the “Alert on state … “.
